Food Security Specialist | July 2018- July 2019

Worked with the Berks County Department of Agriculture and Berks Agricultural Resource Network to develop a comprehensive regional food system plan that ensured all essential components were represented to increase food security in the underserved communities in the Greater Reading Area
• Built capacity and volunteer recruitment for Bountiful Berks Farm Stands throughout Reading
• Updated farmer’s market/stand survey to be distributed to Berks County operations
• Assisted with media platform development, event planning, and creating marketing plans

Sustainability Educator | August 2017- May 2018

Engaged with 600 students at two local elementary schools, which focused on the delivery of educational programming related to science and sustainability
• Created curricular enrichment activities with local schools for four after school environmental clubs
• Worked with five community partners to set-up, create, and facilitate two GLOBE protocol teacher trainings, 24 in-class activity sessions, and three field-based experiences for students
• Documented programmatic progress of the grant to ensure the sustainability of the programs

Assisted with a sustainable farm project focused on providing fresh produce options to underserved communities

Led the creation and implementation of the Healthy Fresh Food Boxes Program pilot phase and began the implementation of its expansion

• Collaborated with 17 community partners – created all relevant documents and resources for partners and sustainability of the program

• Created and distributed 5 surveys, 1 project evaluation, and 1 evaluation graphic

• Co-wrote, submitted, and awarded 3 grants – Agnes M Lindsay Trust, Norwich Lions Club, and New Hampshire Children’s Health Fund
